Step-by-Step Instructions: Adding Anti-Fouling Paint/ System Details

  1. Locate your Dock Paint Report

    • To complete this tab, you will need your dry dock paint report. Ensure you only input details for the anti-fouling paint.

  2. Select Paint Products

    • If multiple paint products were used for different niches, select the appropriate paint products from the dropdown.

  3. Input First Paint Details

    • Choose the first paint product to input.

    • Follow the prompts to select the coating brand, product, and technology.

    • The system will automatically indicate if the paint is biocidal or non-toxic based on your selection.

  4. Choose Niche Areas for Paint Application

    • Click “MANAGE” and choose the niche areas where this paint was applied.

    • The niches from your previous niche setup will appear, and subcomponents will be automatically identified.


  5. Select Areas Painted with the Chosen Paint

    • Select the areas that were painted with the chosen paint.

    • You can either select all for each niche area or choose the individual subcomponents that were painted with the chosen paint.

    • Once selected, click 'SAVE'​

  6. Input Application Details

    • Input the date the paint was applied, the manufacturer’s promised life of the coating, and the shipyard where it was applied.

    • If only one paint type was used, click “SAVE.”


  7. Enter to Secondary Paint (if applicable)

    • If a secondary paint is used, click “NEXT” to input details for the second paint product and repeat the process.

    • Areas already painted will be greyed out when selecting the second coating

    • Continue this process for any additional paint products used for other niches.

    • Once you’ve entered all paint details, click “SAVE" and you’re ready to move on to the final tab.
